The highlight of Celtic's history was the 1966-67 season when they secured the European Cup, becoming the first British team to do so. They also clinched the league championship, Scottish Cup, League Cup, and Glasgow Cup that same season. The rivalry between Celtic and Rangers is intense and dates back many years, with the two clubs collectively known as the Old Firm. Matches between them are considered some of the fiercest football derbies globally. The club boasts a massive global following, with an estimated fanbase of 9 million fans worldwide, supported by over 160 Celtic supporters clubs across 20 countries. Notably, during the 2003 UEFA Cup Final in Seville, approximately 80,000 fans made the trip, displaying remarkable sportsmanship in defeat. This earned Celtic Fair Play awards from FIFA and UEFA for their loyal and respectful behavior despite the loss.
